A memorial service for Ellen Deloris Brown, 68 will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2010 at the Ray Mission Church in Sequoyah State Park in Cherokee County. Ellen was born May 15, 1942 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma to her parents, James Allen and Clara Irene (Brumfield) Medlin. She worked as a truck driver for several years. Ellen was preceded in death by her father, Allen; her sisters, Gladys and Ann; her brothers, Leonard and Randy and by one grandchild. She is survived by her children, Suzy (Ellen Ray) McKinney of Whitewood, VA, Allen Eugene Yochum of Jay, OK, James William Scroggins of Springdale, AK, Wilma Gene Fortner of Wagoner, Dickie Allen Scroggins of Moody, OK, Deloris Kay Burris of Checotah, OK and Ellen Roberta Rogers of Dallas, TX; her mother, Clara Rogers; two sisters, Dottie Harris and Patricia Sisco; two brothers, Harold Ray Medlin and Billy Joe White all of Wagoner; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
