Paul Girdner, 92, lifelong Hulbert residence, departed this life Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in Muskogee, OK. His funeral service will be at 11 AM Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Hulbert First Baptist Church with the Reverend Glen Rowand officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. Enos Paul Girdner was born November 27, 1915 in Hulbert, OK to Charles Oliver and Gertrude Alice (Scott) Girdner. He graduated from Hulbert High School and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Before retirement Paul worked as a construction superintendent in the commercial building industry. He liked roping and raised cattle. Paul was married to the former Fern Virginia Busby on July 3, 1937. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Fern Girdner of the home; a son, Dean Girdner of Hulbert; two granddaughters, Denna Girdner of Tahlequah and Susan Weeks of Enid; a great grandson, Zach Weeks; nieces Sarah Masters of Hawaii and her son and Bobbie Harp of Kansas and her family; other relatives and friends.
