Memorial services for Ethel Lois Turley, 82, long-time Wagoner resident will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Feb. 7 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Roger Miller officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Kennedy, Jarod Kennedy, Gary Wilson, Jerry Turley, Gary Kenneth Cooper, and Mike Cooper. Lois was born Sept. 21, 1931 in Delaware, Oklahoma to her parents, John L. and Alma (Sequichie) Harrison. She grew up in the area and graduated high school in Childers, OK in 1949. Lois began her long career with Southwestern Bell, working as a phone operator in Nowata and retiring after over 20 years of service in Tulsa. She was an avid reader, enjoyed classic movies like Gone With The Wind' and loved music from the 40's and 50's. Lois was a wonderful and humorous story-teller'. She was devoted to her dog, Prissy' and her greatest joy came from loving her grandson, Joey. She passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Feb. 4 in Broken Arrow. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Johnnie and Breck; and her sister, Ruth Critchlow. She is survived by her daughter, Lois Ann Turley of the home; her grandson, Joey Breck Wilson also of Wagoner; many nieces and nephews and other relatives including Ava Harrison who showed such great devotion in caring for Lois in her time of need. Final arrangements were directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
