Obituary

Eugene Stansill was born February 4, 1924 in Sapulpa, OK to Effie and Walter Roy Stansill. After his schooling Eugene served in the United States Army. His faith was grounded in the Seventh-day Adventist church. Before retirement Eugene made his home near Keystone Lake and worked as an aerial photographer for Aerial Photo in Tulsa, OK. Following retirement he made his home in Wagoner for several years. Eugene departed this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in Claremore, OK, having just reached his 90th birthday this month. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Walter and Effie; his wife, Barbara Stansill; a brother, Walter Stansill Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Covington. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Lisa Stansill; a daughter, Carol Stansill; two stepsons, Paul Kozak and David Kozak; a sister-in-law, Marian Stepp; and several grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at Ray Cemetery, located in Sequoyah State Park near Hulbert, OK. Elder Jack Harris will officiate.
