Eva Balogh Meggyes was born on December 11, 1938, in Hungary.   She departed this life on July 2, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years.  She was a dedicated and accomplished individual who graduated from high school and continued her academic journey to earn an associate's degree, demonstrating her commitment to personal development. She served as a certified nurse aide.  She worked for several years in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home.

Eva's compassionate and caring nature truly made her an exceptional nurse aide, as her genuine desire to help others allowed her to provide comfort and support to many individuals in her care, demonstrating her dedication and kindness in her role.

Eva's passion for cooking Hungarian meals and her loving nature made her a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, affectionately called "nudge momma", "memaw", and "grandma" by her grandchildren, reflecting her deep bond and joyful presence within the family.  She also enjoyed floral artistry, particularly enjoying arrangements crafted with carnations and baby's breath.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, George Meggyes; her son, Louise Manuel Cruz; and her granddaughter, Kari Cruz.

Those left to cherish the many memories of Eva's life include her children, Mike (Alicia) Cruz of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Charles Meggyes of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Christopher Meggyes of Muskogee, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all who will greatly miss her.

Eva will be deeply missed by her beloved family, who will cherish and keep her memory alive through the treasured moments they shared.

A private family memorial service will be held to honor the life of Eva Balogh.
