Eva Marie Sissom, 64, died Friday, October 22, 2010 after a courageous battle with renal cancer. Marie was born February 18, 1946 to B.J. and Margaret (Smith) Moss. She came to Coweta at an early age. She attended Liberty School before she went on to attend Coweta Schools. On March 24, 1963 she married Carl Wesley Sissom. Together they raised four children, Connie Reed of Tulsa, Barbara DeSimone of Broken Arrow, Jim Hargrove of Broken Arrow and Randy Sissom of Coweta. Marie was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and loved helping with Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed camping, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her beloved dog, Henry, was a constant companion. Marie was preceded in death by her mother and three nephews, Ronnie and Robert Kerr and Anthony Hargrove. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Carl, and her four children; one brother, Jay Moss of Coweta; one sister, Linda Hargrove of Haskell; her father, B.J. Moss; many loving relatives and friends, including longtime friend Katherine Cantrell. A Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m.. Monday evening at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Lone Star Baptist Church in Coweta, with the Reverend Sam Davis officiating. Pallbearers are Randy Sissom, Jim Hargrove, Brandon Reed, Jimmy Reed, Ed Hargrove and Darrell Hargrove. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert, OK.
