Evelyn Riddle Easterling was born January 6, 1935 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Roy and Della (Brown) Riddle. She grew up in Wagoner and graduated from Wagoner High School. Evelyn was employed as an administrative secretary at the Wagoner County Department of Human and Health Services for forty years before her retirement.
Evelyn was married to Dan Easterling, and they enjoyed a happy marriage of fifty-four years. Evelyn liked to travel, especially when it meant visiting their son, Randy, and his wife, Vicki, and the grandchildren, Andrew and Corinne, in California. They were long time members of the First Baptist Church. Evelyn liked to bake and enjoyed gardening and flowers. She loved to decorate for Christmas, both inside and outside the house. Some of her most favored collectibles were Precious Moments, butterflies, and teaspoons, to name a few.
Evelyn departed this life on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and all four of her sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Dan Easterling, of the home; son, Randy Easterling, and daughter-in-law, Vicki Easterling, of Orange County, CA; two grandchildren, Andrew Easterling of San Jose, CA and Corinne Easterling of Orange County, CA; thirteen nephews and nieces, other relatives and many friends.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, OK.
The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Wagoner. The Reverend Wade Robertson will officiate.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner. Pallbearers will be Jerry McConnell, Roy Williams, Buddy Reed, Thomas Gish, Andy Easterling and Alan Easterling.
