Obituary

Graveside funeral services for Floyd Richard Campbell, 87, long-time resident of Wagoner will be held at 10:00, Wednesday, May 15 in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner. Floyd was born Dec. 16, 1925 in Tulsa, Ok to his parents, Otis G. and Helen B. (Case) Campbell. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country during World War II. Floyd worked as a truck driver for many years, retiring from BeMac Corp. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 523 in Tulsa. In 1969, he moved his family to the lake area near Wagoner. Floyd was always involved in racing. He raced stock cars for several years and was champion at the Tulsa Speedway in the 1950's. Floyd had a reputation as the Godfather' of the McDonald's Gang. He passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at Hillcrest South Hospital in Tulsa. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Janet Hyso, Helen Campbell and Otis Campbell; his wife, Frances Joy Campbell in 2003 and a son, Robert Campbell in 1978. He is survived by his children, Jack Alan Campbell of Hilliard, Ohio and Shirley Ann Tanner of Wagoner; grandchildren, Rikki Campbell Ogden, J.D. Harris and Amanda Tanner Beaty; great-grandchildren, Harper Isobell Ogden, Audrey Grace Harris and Cohen Maddox Harris; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
