Frances Elaine Jennings was born January 4, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Vincent Muro and Nell (Register) Muro. She graduated from high school in Tulsa. Francis was employed as an accountant for Sun Oil and later worked a number of years at Wagoner Community Hospital as a physical therapist assistant.
Frances and her husband, Butch lived in Wagoner, OK before moving to Muskogee where they were longtime members of the Oldham Memorial Baptist. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts, including glass painting. She liked to work crossword puzzles.
Frances departed this life Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at her home in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Nell Muro; her husband, Lewis Darwin "Butch" Jennings; and an infant son, James and two sisters, her twin Nancy and Ester.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Steffine and Roy Thornburg of Muskogee, Oklahoma and grandson Dylan Thomas Thornburg and his wife, Cassie of Muskogee, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Paula with Hometown Hospice and Sherry, Frances' friend from church, for all their special care given to Frances during her illness.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Oldham Memorial Baptist Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Reverend Glenn Little will officiate.
Frances will be laid to rest in Bennett Addition of Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, Oklahoma beside her husband, Lewis Jennings. Pallbearers will be Joe Thompson, Joseph Bryson, Ronnie Richie, Dylan Thornburg, Roy Thornburg and Bryant Gugliuzzi.
Viewing will be Monday from 11 am -5 pm and Tuesday from 9 am to 7 pm at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, OK.
