Frances (Vangundy) Smith was born January 11, 1928 in Owasso, Oklahoma to Ellis A. and Lillie (Jones) Vangundy. She attended business school following high school and was employed as a secretary in the legal profession before her retirement. She departed this life on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Wagoner Care Center, Wagoner, Oklahoma. Her husband, J. B. Smith, a son, David Smith, and a daughter, Jacqline Smith, all preceded her in death. Frances was a devoted wife and mother. Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Ellis and Cyndy Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Buzz Leland of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and her son, Steven Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
