Frank Faine Everett was born May 15, 1932 in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma to Sewell and Elizabeth (Anthony) Everett. He grew up in Fort Gibson and later served in the United States Navy from 1952 until his Honorable Discharge in 1956.
Frank finished his education with a bachelor's degree. Before retirement he was employed as a geophysicist in the oil industry.
Frank and his wife, Genevieve, made their home in Wagoner, OK where they were members of the Church of Christ. Frank loved to grow a huge vegetable garden every year.
He liked to play cards and really enjoyed spending time with his family.
Frank departed this life Sunday morning, January 19, 2020, at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, OK at the age of 87 years. His service to his country was recognized in the Walk of Honor as he was taken from the hospital.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Sewell and Elizabeth Everett; his wife, Genevieve Everett; a great-grandson, John Everett and all his siblings.
Survivors include his five children, John Emmett Everett of Tulsa, OK, Mark Allen Everett and wife, Deb, of Tulsa, OK, Sewell Benton and wife, Julie, of Troutman, NC, Michelle Lynn Scroggins of Coweta, OK and Phillip Andrew Everett of Pryor, OK.
Additionally, Frank leaves a legacy of fifteen grandchildren, John Everett, Melissa Clark, Jedidiah Everett, Jacob Everett, Meredith Lawson, Jennifer Austin, Joshua Everett, Laura Willhite, Samantha Everett, Naomi Franklin, Sara Everett, Marc Scroggins II, Matthew Scroggins, Charles Everett and Ben Everett; twenty-six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
The funeral service will be at 9:00 am Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Church of Christ in Wagoner. Officiating will be Mr. Alex Brown.
Pallbearers will be Chase Scroggins, John Everett, Jedidiah Everett, Jacob Everett, Joshua Everett, Marc Scroggins II, Matthew Scroggins, Charles Everett and Benn Everett.
The committal service will at 11:00 am Friday at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. Military Honors will be performed by the Donaghe-Elliot American Legion Post 56, after which Frank will be laid to rest with his wife, Genevieve Everett.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 1:00 -5:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am-7:00 pm.
