Franklin Leroy "Ted" Bartell was born August 7, 1933 in Chandler, OK to Winiford John and Nora Mattie (Childress) Bartell. Ted graduated from Chandler High School and then served in the U.S. Army.

He was a boat mechanic and well known to many in Wagoner when he worked at Smitty's Garage before retirement. He then continued to work on boats from his home. Ted was a longtime member of the Immanuel Southern Baptist Church.

Ted departed this life Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 87 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winiford and Mattie Bartell; his wife, Margaret (Yeary) Bartell; one son, Teddy Bartell and two brothers, John Bartell and Paul Bartell.

Survivors include his son, Keith Bartell; daughter, Joy Bartell; grandchildren, Jeffrey Williams and his wife, Patricia, Tyler Bartell, Cassie Bartell and Emily Bartell; great-grandchildren, Jayden Allen, Izaiah Williams and Hendrix Williams; a sister, Nova Hinkle; a brother, Lee Bartell and his wife, Floranna Bartell; extended family, including his church family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Friday, October 30, 2020 in Elmwood Cemetery, Wagoner. The Reverend Rick Boyne will officiate.
