Freda Helen (Vineyard) Meeks was born August 21, 1921 in Cowlington, Oklahoma to George and Tullie (Barnett) Vineyard. Before retirement Freda was employed as an Elizabeth Arden cosmetician at Dillards and Elegant Touch. In her spare time she enjoyed flowers and gardening.

She was married to Othel Meeks until his death in 2003.

Freda departed this life Wednesday morning, January 31, 2018, at the age of 96 years, at Franciscan Villa in Broken Arrow where she had been living the past several years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Othel; brother, Rector Vineyard and a son, Leon Meeks.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Sharon Meeks of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jimmy Lisby of California; two grandchildren, Michael Meeks and Melanie Pogrebnov; a great grandchild, Alexsi; two sisters, Nalma Sterling and Evelyn Hefner; a number of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

The graveside funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, Oklahoma. The Reverend Will Smith will officiate.
