Fronia Elizabeth (Kilgore) Carter was born June 25, 1935 in Stigler, OK to Milburn S. and Eva Loraine (Russell) Kilgore, who precede her in death, along with a brother, David Kilgore. After high school Fronia attended Draughn's School of Business. She was an executive assistant for KBIX Radio before retirement.

She met her lifelong sweetheart and best friend, Gene Carter in Muskogee, OK. They made their home in California and Norman, OK, settling in Muskogee, OK. Fronia had a gypsy's soul, and she and Gene loved to travel and enjoyed fishing. Fronia was accomplished at all kinds of crochet and liked to work puzzles.

Fronia departed this life early Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Muskogee, OK. Her family, to whom she was foremost a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, will miss her dearly. They include her husband, Gene Carter; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Raymond Royse, all of Muskogee; grandson, Robbie Jackson and his children, Hunter Woods, Lexi Woods and Andrew Jackson; granddaughter, Cheryl Jackson and husband, Jared Nelson and their children, Dylan Sullivan, Carter Nelson and Jackson Sullivan; granddaughter Katy Thomson and husband, Ryan and their children, Tanner Thomson and Griffin Thomson; sister, Ramona Harms; brothers, Milburne Kilgore and Charles Kilgore and wife, Deborah; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner.

The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee.
