Grey Warner "Sonny" Sparks was born October 29, 1929 in Colorado to Elzie Lewis Sparks and Gussie (Salyer) Sparks. Most of his life Sonny worked as an over the road truck driver.

He loved talking to his friends and could often be found at the coffee shop enjoying their company. Everyone remembers how Sonny loved his dog.

Sonny departed this life Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, OK at the age of 92 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Lee Sparks and by his second wife, Roxie Sparks; by his mother, Gussie Sparks; his father and stepmother, Lewis and Ellen Sparks; a brother, Joe Earl Sparks and his wife, Catherine Sparks; a sister, Peggy Kelley and a brother-in-law, Jim Deberry.

Survivors include a brother, Tommy Sparks and his wife, Madelyn of Nacoma, Texas; two sisters, Peggy Aikin and her husband, Dick of California and Carolyn Deberry of Yukon, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Hulbert Community (I.O.O.F.) Cemetery in Hulbert, Oklahoma. Officiating will be the Reverend Nick Pruitt.
