The memorial service for Gail Gates will be at 10:00 am Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner, OK.

Gail Lynn Gates was born April 26, 1951 in California to Archie Edwin Cotton and Ernestine Lynette (Campbell) Cotton. Following graduation from high school Gail continued her education to prepare for a career as a medical aide in the health care industry. Growing up she travelled to many locations while her father served in the service. She had made her home in Wagoner for the past twenty-six years.

Gail enjoyed fishing, reading and watching movies. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and they will always remember what a great dessert maker she was.

Gail departed this life Monday evening, January 14, 2019 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 67 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Ernestine Cotton, her brother, Gary Wayne Cotton, and her husband, Roger Gates.

She is survived by four children and their spouses, Teri Lyne and Shane North, Rachael Lee and Jimmy Hunter, all of Wagoner, OK, Jason Gates of Haskell, OK and Daniel Gates of Coweta, OK; grandchildren, Colby, Michael, Amber, Cori, Kaylee, Nicholas, Austin, Jimmy Ray, Kyle and Jaime; seven great-grandchildren; two nephews; other extended family and friends.
