Gary Kevin Maner, 62, of Athens, TX, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 20, 2025.  A native of Oklahoma, Gary was born in Tulsa, raised in Skiatook, and moved to Athens, TX with his family in 1979.  He attended Athens High School.

A carpenter by trade for 40 years, Gary had a love for building and remodeling around his property.  He also enjoyed tinkering with old cars, gardening, and jamming to some classic rock.  Gary could be found watching any OU sports and was also a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, David Wayne Maner, Sr. and Mary Carol (Rhodes) Maner.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Maner of Athens, TX; daughter, Brooke Wall (Stephen)of Tomball, TX, daughter, Jamie Laird (Brian) of Pflugerville, TX, son, Mark Howard (Cherish) of Gun Barrel City, TX; brother, David Maner, Jr. (Angela) of Tulsa, OK, brother, Dusty Maner (Lori) of Athens, TX; 9 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 9-12 pm in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home.

A Graveside service, honoring the life of Gary Maner will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Hulbert Community Cemetery, Hulbert, OK.  Gary's family has entrusted his care and services to Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, Wagoner, OK.
