Obituary

The funeral service for Geneva Pauline (Stacy) Bradfield, 81, a longtime Wagoner resident, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Wagoner. Brother Steve Jean and the Reverend Mark Pointer will officiate. Geneva was born March 25, 1927 in Lost City, OK to Ethel (Fritts) and Lewis A. Stacy. She was 1945 graduate of Wagoner High School. She worked at the ASCS office before her marriage to Jake Bradfield on February 25, 1946. For many years Geneva was an Avon representative and later was a substitute teacher in Wagoner, Okay and Pryor. She was a fifty year member and past president of the Rose Garden Club and a past member of the Wagoner Study Club. Geneva was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1938 where she taught Sunday School, served as Superintendent for VBS and was an adult sponsor/cook for Fall Creek summer camp for many years. She was a Blue Bird/Camp Fire leader and a president of the Band Boosters. Geneva Bradfield passed this life late Friday, May 23, 2008 in Wagoner, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Jake Bradfield of the home; two daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Hugh Kyle of Wagoner and Shari and Tom Steinwinter of Cave Creek, AZ; foster daughter, Marilyn Wisdom of Porter, OK; granddaughters, Laura Lynn Kyle of Owasso, OK and Elyssia Steinwinter of Tucson, AZ; a grandson and his wife, Jeffrey and Mary Kyle of Wagoner; great grandchildren, Shanna, Jackson and Nathan Kyle, all of Wagoner; a half-brother, William Stacy of Haines, AK; half-sister, Maxine Macom of Milwaukie, OR and a special niece, Patty Cooper of Wagoner; brothers and spouses, Evert W. and Mary Stacy of Wagoner, Frankie L. and Wanda Stacy of Wagoner, Charles E. and Kathy Stacy of Shawnee, Ok; brother-in-law, Jimmy Jean of Wagoner; sisters and spouses, Doris (Stacy) and Bill Mitchell of Leesburg, FL and Deena Kay (Stacy) and Larry Bottom of Wagoner; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis A. Stacy; mother, Ethel (Fritts) Stacy; sisters, Bernice (Stacy) Turnham and Deloris (Stacy) Jean; brother, Carnell Stacy; three infant brothers, including Frederick Stacy; half sister, Corinne (Stacy) Johnson; half-brother, Bill Stacy; step-mother, Ola Stacy; and her uncle and aunt with whom she lived after age eleven, Evert and Pearl Stacy. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner. Pallbearers will be Butch Cooper, Mark Watson, Jim Jean, Ron McFarland, Kenneth Stacy, Vernon Stacy and Chuck Stacy. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Bottom, Spuddy Wright, Evert W. "Bub" Stacy, Jr., Jimmy Jean, Virgil Stacy, Freddie Jo Stacy, Carl Stacy, Dr. John Brixey and Frankie Stacy. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Home.
