(Ken) Collins
March 18, 1945 – July 10, 2017
George Kenneth (Ken) Collins was born March 18, 1945 in Wagoner, OK to Ben Hanford and Grace Sue (Weir) Collins. He graduated from Wagoner High School and later earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree. Ken served in the United States Air Force. He was a self-employed environmental specialist before retirement. He enjoyed the hobbies of watching OU football and yard work, but Ken loved people most of all and was known to be a very kind and compassionate man.
Ken departed this life Monday, July 10, 2017 at his Wagoner home at 72 years of age. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Elizabeth Collins of the home; daughters, Grace and husband, Adam Mask of Coweta, OK, Kathy Barron of Morris, OK and Margaret and husband Steve Ward of Morris, OK; son, Thomas and wife, Desi Goodner of Elizabethtown, KY; sister-in-law, Cheryl Wells of Siloam Springs, AR;; a sister, Lillian Haven of Nashville, TN; 13.5 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews other family and friends.
Preceding Ken in death are his parents, Ben and Grace Collins; a daughter, Debbie Collins; brother, Dallas Collins and sister, Margaret Chaney.
Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner for the inurnment.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Shriners Hospitals for Children or a charity of one's choice.
