Georgie (Needham) Langston was born March 2, 1929 at home in Grove, Oklahoma.  Her parents were George Dewey Needham and Dot Geneva (Reasoner) Needham.  She grew up in Grove, Oklahoma and graduated from Grove High School in 1946.  Georgie started her career as a secretary in Grove. Georgie moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and met William G. Langston and was married in Weleetka, Oklahoma.  They had three children: Phil P. Langston, Gerald G. Langston and Charles W. Langston.  The family moved to Okay, Oklahoma in 1967. Georgie was widowed in 1983. She worked at Okay School system from November 1987 to 2014 as the elementary librarian.

Georgie passed away from an illness on Dec. 26, 2015.  She was survived by her three sons, Phil Langston and wife Karen, Gerald Langston and wife, Sharon and Charlie Langston; four brothers, Dewey Needham, Riley Needham, Charles Needham, and Noel Needham.   She had three grandchildren, Julie Ann Hutson, Phillip Adam Langston, and Michael William Langston.  Georgie also had three great-grandchildren, Evan Langston, Isaac Langston and Mason Hutson.

Services will be at First Baptist Church in Okay, Oklahoma at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2016.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, Oklahoma.
