Gertrude May (Goodwin) Crossno was born February 2, 1922 in rural Branson, Colorado to Nevil and Ora Goodwin. She passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. She was one of eleven children. All of her siblings preceded her in death. She married Clement B. Crossno on June 8, 1945 in Raton, New Mexico. Clem passed away in October 2011 after 66 years of marriage. Gertrude helped to care for her younger brothers and sisters after her mother passed away. She worked as a riveter for Douglas Aircraft in the Long Beach, CA area during WWII before marrying Clem. They lived in several states due to Clem's Navy career, before retiring in 1972, settling in the Hulbert/Norwood area. Gertrude is survived by her brother-in-law, James P. Crossno, sister-in-law, Joan Coward and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, August 27 at 10 am at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert, OK.
