Gladys R. McClarrinon, 92, life-long resident of Wagoner passed away Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Wagoner Community Hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1919 to her parents, George and Fanny (Roam) Roberts in Wagoner where she grew up and graduated high school. On Sept. 17, 1943 she was united in marriage to the Reverend William W. Bill' McClarrinon, a union lasting 43 years until his death. Along with being a homemaker for her family, Gladys also worked in the telecommunication tower industry as a vice president for All State Steel Erectors. She was also a pawn broker, owning her business in downtown Wagoner for several years. Gladys was a long time member of the First Christian Church of Wagoner. She was a talented gardener, cook, seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and reading and writing poetry. Billinda fondly recalls how her mother could create any dress design Belinda would envision. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Rev. Bill; her sister, Ruby Roberts and her young son, William George Billy' McClarrinon. She is survived by her daughter, Billinda McClarrinon of the home; her son, Tim McClarrinon and his wife, Terrie of Wagoner; her grandsons, William Chase and William Randall McClarrinon; step-grandchildren, Tarl and Shelly Lancaster and a step-great granddaughter, Laila Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00, Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Carl Murphy officiating. Pallbearers for Gladys are Randy McClarrinon, Jesse Brooks, Steve Morris and Johnny Moreau. Funeral arrangements and interment in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner are directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
