Obituary

Mr. Glenn Otto McClatchey, age 77, of Porter, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019, at home.

Glenn was born February 6, 1942, in Los Angeles, California to Glenn Otto and Sue Sunbeam (Sing) McClatchey Sr.

Mr. McClatchey served our country in The United States Navy, The United States Army during Vietnam, The Oklahoma Army National Guard and The Oklahoma Air National Guard where he retired in 1988. After Glenn's service to our country he began his career as a maintenance electrician for Coburn Optical where he worked until his retirement.

Glenn married Sharon (McKinney) McClatchey on March 23, 1968. Glenn was a loving husband, father and grandpa who enjoined reading, watching TV, gardening, shooting and spending time with his family. Glenn will be deeply missed.

Mr. McClatchey is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Pauline Douglas and a son, Matthew Garrett McClatchey.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon McClatchey of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marshall and Mary McClatchey of Clarksville, Arkansas and Mikeal McClatchey and Kat McClatchey of Muskogee; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Karri McClatchey and Vincent Thiel of Russellville, Arkansas; three sisters, Perrine Hunsinger of Oregon, Joanne Day of California and Jackie Pettie of California; three sisters-in-law their spouses, Shirley and Darrell Bailey of Porter, Oklahoma, Brenda and John Stone of Porter, Oklahoma, Judy Lester of Temple, Texas and one brother in-law and his spouse,  Marshall and Rita McKinney of Coweta, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The graveside service with full military honors will be 10:00 am, Friday, June 21, 2019 at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, Oklahoma.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Marshall McClatchey, Mikeal McClatchey, Vincent Thiel, Marshall McKinney, Darrell Bailey and John Stone.
