GLORIA MARIA (GARCIA-OROZCO) ORTIZ Gloria Maria Ortiz, 60, peacefully passed away, Friday, August 26, 2011 at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She was born in Reynosa, Mexico on December 30, 1950 to her parents, Roman Sr. and Regina Orozco Garcia. Gloria grew up in Valiant, Oklahoma before her family moved to Wagoner in 1967. Gloria graduated Wagoner High School in 1968. She moved to Chicago to work in broadcasting where she remained the rest of her life. Gloria retired as an accountant for Marshall Fields Department Store in Chicago after working there for many years. She loved dancing and shopping, but her greatest enjoyment came from time spent with her family. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Salvador and a brother, Lauro Jimenez. She is survived by her son, Salvador Julio Ortiz Jr. and his wife, Rosa of Chicago; her brothers and sisters, Armando Salas of Houston, TX, Irene Goytia of Hollywood, CA, Angelica Martinez also of Chicago, Amalia Montanez of San Antonio, TX, her twin sister, Consuelo Garcia also of Chicago, and Jose Garcia, Yolanda Martinez, Roman Garcia II and Maria Elena Tucker all of Wagoner; her grandson, Xyden Ortiz; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. A Wake service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel followed by a funeral service Saturday, Sept. 3 at 10:00 a.m at Mallett Chapel. Pallbearers will be Roman Rodriguez, Roman Garcia III, Iver Garcia and Ivan Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Miguel Chacon and Javier Montanez.
