Harold Wayne Gilbert was born September 19, 1938 in Chouteau, OK to Earl and Altha (Shipp) Gilbert. He graduated from Wagoner High School. For a number of years Harold served in the National Gurad. Before retirement Harold owned and operated his own roofing business. Harold departed this life on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his home in Wagoner at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 4 days. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lee Gilbert, in 2007; by his parents, Earl and Altha Gilbert; a sister, Fayrene Watkins; a brother, James Gilbert and a grandson, Justin Russell. He is survived by three children and their spouses, Crystal Gilbert and Ben Flores of Yukon, OK, Curtis and Rhonda Gilbert of Memphis, TN, and Charmagne (Gilbert) and Abron Bass of Wagoner; a sister, Hazel Dils of Sand Diego, CA; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many, many friends. The family will be present for a visitation for friends to come for viewing on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, graveside at Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner. The Reverend Carl Murphy will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Gilbert, Abron Bass, Ben Flores, Christopher Russell, Colin Russell, Dennis Wilson, Harry Dale, Bob Copple and Louis Watkins.
