IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Harold Harmon
Swaringim Sr.
October 28, 1939 – October 3, 2025
Harold Harmon Swaringim Sr., 85, longtime resident of Wagoner, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, after a short battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Harold was born on October 28, 1939, in Hogan, MO, to Harmon Swaringim and Fern Elizabeth (Wren) Swaringim.
In 1962, Harold met and married the love of his life, Emma Irene Henry. This union was blessed with 4 children: Mary Elizabeth, Harold Harmon Jr. (Hal), Steven Eugene (Steve), and Richard Wayne.
He entered the United States Army at the age of 17, where he proudly served for 5 years. Early on, Harold and his brother Ronald had a cabinet shop in O'Fallon, MO. Harold's career in manufacturing began at McGraw Edison as Production Manager in Dumas, AR. In 1975, he moved his family to Wagoner, OK, where he furthered his career as the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Prestolite until its closing.
Harold was affectionately called "Red" by his friends and family in the early years due to having red hair when he was younger. No doubt this is where several of his grandchildren inherited their red hair. Harold was very proud of that fact.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his beloved daughter, Mary, and daughter-in-law, Jodie.
Those left behind to honor his memory are his adoring wife of 63 years, Irene; his sons, Hal and wife, Linda, Steve and wife, Beverly, Richard and wife, Angela. Also, to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Robert Hollingshed, Bobby Fuller, Cody Fuller, Brooke James, Julie Griffin, Payge Brewer, Caleb Swaringim, Jake Swaringim, Cassy Swaringim, Halle Daniels, and numerous great grandchildren.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Oklahoma Memory Care of Tulsa and Luminos Hospice for their unwavering care of Harold and their love and support of our family for the past 7 months.
