Funeral services for Hattie A. Swan-Storey, 70, long time Wagoner resident, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel, in Wagoner with Mr. Elzie Gray officiating. Hattie was born May 14, 1942 in Jay, OK to her parents, Loren and Lyndall (Dickson) Pendergraft. She grew up and graduated from high school there. Hattie was married to James Franklin Swan, and together they operated an antique dealership in the Wagoner area for several years. Her family remembers Hattie being a wonderful homemaker. She also was employed at Wal-Mart for several years until her retirement. Hattie was a St. Louis Cardinal fan, which gave her great pleasure these past several years, but her greatest joy came from the lives of her grandchildren. She peacefully passed away Thursday, December 27 in Tulsa. Hattie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Franklin Swan, in 1981; her husband, Al Storey and by her brother, Howard Pendergraft. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Cox and her husband, Jim, of Inola; her step-children, Jim Swan of Tulsa, David Swan of Tennessee and Mary Lynn Davis of Collinsville; her grandchildren, Rachel Renee, Daniel James and John Dee Franklin Cox; a brother, Harold Pete' Pendergraft of Lawton; other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers for Hattie will be Mike Cagle, Gary Riley, Tim Hoover, Rick Stafford, Jimmy Cagle and Chris Cagle. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Cox and John Cox. Funeral arrangements and interment in Elmwood cemetery in Wagoner was directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
