Hazel Ruth (Jones) Hall was born December 12, 1930 in Porter, Oklahoma to Richard Columbus and Polly Ann (Webb) Jones. She graduated from Porter High School and continued to make the Porter area her home all through her life. She was a member of the Porter First Baptist Church from the age of twelve. Hazel loved her church family and especially enjoyed singing in the church; she was the church song leader for many years. Before retirement Hazel worked as a cashier at the First National Bank. She was an avid OU athletics fan, especially the OU Women's Basketball team. Boomer Sooner! Hazel departed this life on Friday, February 1, 2013 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 82 years, 1 month, and 20 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion George Hall; a son, Paul Kevin Hall, her parents, and all her siblings. Hazel dearly loved her family. It meant everything to her to spend time with them, and she enjoyed that the family lived so near each other throughout the years. Survivors include her two daughters, Kathleen Felix of Coweta and Laurie Hall of Tulsa; six grandchildren, Polly Bennett of Tulsa, Joshua Foutch of Oklahoma City, Gabriel Martin of Sand Springs, Jarrod Martin of Houston, Susanna Felix and Serena Terry, both of Coweta; six great-grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah Foutch, Lauren Branham, Micah and Laylah Tiger, and Caleb Terry; cousins who were like her children, Julie Richard and Steven Jacobs; their children, who were like Hazel's great-grandchildren, Paige and Katie Richard and Ann-Marie Jacobs; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Porter First Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Foutch, Gabriel Martin, Jarrod Martin, Garry Felix, Michael Tiger and Jess Terry. Memorial donations may be made to the general fund at Porter First Baptist Church.
