Obituary

Hazel Marie (Lane) Weppler was born in Hulbert, Oklahoma on July the 17th, 1930 to Montie and Minnie Lane.  She attended Hulbert Schools and graduated in 1948 with Honor. She was 9 years old when her mother passed away and she became caregiver to her brother Bill, who was three years younger than her.  She started to work in a secretary job in Muskogee and later moved to Tulsa to work.  At that time she met Bob Weppler, her husband of 48 years, when she was Secretary to the President of Cities Service Oil Company.  Bob also was employed at Cities Service.  Bob was transferred to the parent company on Wall Street, New York City and later moved back to Tulsa is 1973, when his company moved their headquarters from New York to Tulsa.  While in Tulsa she volunteered for years at Laureate, the Children Hospital and rode "shot gun" for 17 years so Bob could deliver Meals on Wheels.  Yearly they drove to New England to attend the fall antique shows.  Hazel usually returned with something old and different.

She adored Bob's extended family in New Jersey, and David and Roger, her nephews with her brother, Bill, being special.

The graveside Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the I.O.O.F. (Hulbert City) Cemetery in Hulbert, Oklahoma.  The Reverend Glen Rowan will officiate.
