IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Helen Louise
Fryer
May 7, 1936 – May 3, 2025
Helen Louise (Forbes) Fryer was born on May 7, 1936, in Coweta, Oklahoma, to William Roscoe Forbes and Melvina (Adams) Forbes. Helen attended and graduated from Porter High School. Helen professionally furthered her education by earning a bachelor's degree at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK, and her master's degree at The University of Tulsa in Tulsa, OK. She served as an Addiction counselor and offered vital support, including prevention, to help clients recover from addiction.
Helen found fulfillment, but her true joy resided in the simple pleasures of life: traveling the United States in her RV and finding peace and relaxation tending to her flower beds at home.
Helen departed this life on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years. Preceding her in death are her parents, William and Melvina Forbes; and a daughter, Belinda K.
Those left to cherish the many memories of her life include her siblings, Fred Forbes and wife, Joan of Checotah, Oklahoma, Buddy Forbes and wife, Vicky of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Freda Durrett and husband, Benny of Checotah, Oklahoma; a niece, Donna Merrell and husband Eddie of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and extended family and friends who will miss her greatly.
Per Helen's wishes, there will be no memorial service.
The family of Helen Fryer has entrusted the care and cremation to Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, Wagoner, Oklahoma, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner, Oklahoma, 918-485-2911
