The funeral service for Helen Stevens will be at 1:00 pm Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, 417 East Cherokee Street, Wagoner, OK. Todd Richardson will officiate.

Interment will be in Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow, OK.

Helen Marie Stevens was born November 3, 1933 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Cecil Omer Cochran and Mary Alice (Paulk) Cochran. She was married to William M. Stevens, and they enjoyed a wonderful life together for more than 50 years until his death on January 23, 1999. Helen was of the Baptist faith.

She loved life itself and enjoyed any form of arts and crafts. She loved her flower beds and liked to make yard ornaments. She also liked quilting and working puzzles.

Helen never met a stranger, she loved everybody as everybody loved her. In her later years Helen was proud to serve as the president of the resident council for her nursing home.

Helen departed this life Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Timber Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Ocala, Florida at the age of 85 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Stevens, a son, William C. Stevens, her parents and a brother, Cecil Cochran.

Survivors, who always remember her as an amazing women who could do anything she decided to do, include her daughter and son-in-law, Cassie Smith (Pachin) and John Pachin of Ocala, Florida; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.
