Hester (Farrow) Gregg was born Mary 2, 1927 on Zeb Mountain near Tahlequah, OK to Ervin Monroe Farrow and Goldie (Crow) Farrow. She departed this life at the age of 91 on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Wagoner Health and Rehab in Wagoner, OK.
Mrs. Gregg grew up in Fort Gibson. She had made her home in Wagoner for a number of years. She liked to fish and enjoyed embroidery most of her life. Her favorite hobby was working in the yard with her flowers. Hester's favorite flower was the rose. Her talent for growing was evident by the beautiful flowers, especially the rose bushes in her yard.
Mrs. Gregg is survived by her children, Dorothy Coffman and husband, David, William Lee Thornton, Oma Lee Thornton, Cora Lee Rankins, all of Wagoner, OK, and Rose Marie Whittaker and husband, James of Henryetta, OK; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise and Ruth; five brothers, Danny, Sammy, Carl Jr., Ervin, Jr., and Jimmy Dale; many nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Goldie Farrow, her former husband, George Gregg; a son, Jerry Wayne Gregg and two granddaughters, Mary Melissa and Skyla.
A Memorial Service celebrating Mrs. Gregg's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at New Hope Assembly of God in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
