Irene K. Woomer was born April 23, 1954 in Muskogee, OK to Jess and Mary (Drywater) Brackett. Irene made her home in Muskogee during her early years, later moving to Porter, OK, where the family lived for about thirty years. At the time of her passing Irene was residing in Wagoner, OK. Mrs. Woomer departed this life early Monday, August 17, 2015 at Tahlequah, OK at the age of 61 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Woomer, in 2006; also by her parents; two sisters, Ann (Brackett) and Janice Luster, one brother, Jim Brackett; and a number of nieces and nephews. Surviving her are her son, Chris Brackett, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Irene Brackett, both of the home; four brothers, Gerald Brackett, Jess Brackett, Wallace Brackett and Rickey Brackett, and their families; one sister, Debbie Ann Cole and her family; her nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Viewing will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mallett Funeral Home A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Gerald Fixin will officiate. Inurnment will be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
