Jackie was born February 19, 1937 in Eli, OK to John Coy Young and Maggie Marie (Watkins) Young. He married the former Barbara Jean Rogers on June 10, 1958. He was a lifelong Hulbert area resident and was well known by his family and many friends for his sense of humor. Jackie was a member of the Spring Valley Free Will Baptist Church. He proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1962.
Before retirement Jackie was employed as a plumber in the construction industry. He was member of the Pipefitters Union, Local 430 for many years, and in 2015 was recognized for fifty years membership.

Jackie's greatest treasure was his family. They called him the "baby whisperer", because he always could settle down any of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He dearly loved being with them, and they will miss him.
