IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Ollie
Blandon Iii
April 10, 1970 – August 9, 2021
On the spring day of April 10, 1970 a baby boy was born to James and Gertrude Blandon. They named him James Ollie Blandon III better known to everyone as Jamie. At an early age, Jamie accepted Christ into his heart and became a member of St. John Baptist Church, where he was still a member till his death.
Jamie grew up in Wagoner and attended Wagoner Public School from kindergarten through 12th grade. While in high school he was a football player for the Bulldogs, a wrestler, and even did a little boxing, where he thought he was Muhammad Ali. Upon completion of high school he attended NEO and then began working with his father as a security guard. He then opened his own business known as Blandon Protective Services working primarily in the Tulsa area. He later went to work for Tulsa Public Schools as a security guard. Then, Jamie went on to work as a car salesman for Jim Glover in Tulsa.
Jamie was an OU fanatic! He loved the Oklahoma Sooners football team, and he rooted for them regardless of if they won or lost. As of late, Jamie took an interest in politics and would have playful banter with anyone who would entertain him with most of these arguments coming by way of Facebook.
Jamie was always willing to help someone out if they needed it or not. His smile and talkative nature will be missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jamesetta Blandon; his grandparents: William and Bertha Abernathy and Ollie and Coreilia Blandon; and his hot roll making auntie, Joyce Jackson
He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters: Treva and LaKisha Blandon of Wagoner and Stephanie Lane of Tulsa, Ok; Nieces: Mykal, Dominique, and Arianna; McKalyb Williams whom he raised as a son of Camden, AR; his uncle Howard and Faye Abernathy of Muskogee, ans Robert Jackson, of Wagoner, OK; his aunt Norma Jean and Richard Brown of Long Beach, CA; and a host of cousins.
Jamie passed this life on Monday, August 9, 2021. A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, Oklahoma.
The Celebration of Life service honoring him will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Wagoner Performing Arts Center. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gibson Station, Oklahoma.
