After 87 years of tending the land, working with his hands, and living a life rooted in faith and family, James "JW" Edwards laid down his earthly burdens and left the fields of this world to meet his Lord and Savior, surrounded by the love of his family.
JW was born on February 22, 1939, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to Charlie and Lucille (Friman) Edwards. A Wagoner man through and through, he spent his entire life in the place he called home.
For a farmer, life is measured not by the hours on a clock, but by the rising of the sun, the changing of the seasons, and the blessings found in a hard day's work. JW knew the value of honest labor, the importance of family, and the faith that carries a man through both the good seasons and the difficult ones.
A complete obituary will soon follow.
