The memorial service for Jim Harrel will be at 11:00 am Monday, December 10, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, 205 North Main Street, Wagoner, OK. Reverend Mike Barron will officiate.
The committal service will be at 2:00 pm Monday at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK. Military rites will be performed by the Fort Sill Military Honors Team.
James Edward Harrel was born August 21, 1951 in San Francisco, CA and departed this life Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Following graduation from high school, Jim served in the U. S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Walter Harrel.
He was employed as a food service general manager, and in his spare time, Jim liked to fish and watch sports. He dearly loved the time spent with grandchildren and family. He had served as an elder, deacon and Stephen Minister in the First Presbyterian Church in Marietta, Georgia and was a member of the Wagoner First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years, Nancy Joy Lampe Harrel of the home; a son, Ian Keith Harrel and his wife, Traci Crowder of Washington; two daughters, Sandy Marie Harrel-Haney and her husband, Ricky Haney of Washington and Dollie Joy Harrel Mays and her husband, Colin Mays of Tahlequah, OK; three grandchildren, Ayla Joy Mays, Kyra Haney and Kaeden Haney; his mother, June Elinore Odell Harrel; extended family and friends.
