The graveside funeral service for James Walter Jacoby, 62, a Wagoner native, was held at 2 PM Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner under the direction of Mallett Funeral Home. The Reverend Father Kevin Willis officiated. James was born March 13, 1946 in Muskogee, OK to Theodore Theopolis and Maureen (Edwards) Jacoby. He graduated from Wagoner High School in 1964. James enjoyed working on his familys farm and raising cattle. He was known for his sense of humor and great personality. James died Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Jay, OK where he had been making his home. His parents and a brother, William Theodore Jacoby preceded him in death. Survivors include two sisters, Judith Felentzer of Tampa, FL and Nina Arlene Jacoby of Jay; numerous cousins and other relatives.
