James Weyman Pratt was born August 25, 1936 in Gore, Oklahoma to Derosco Plymouth and Naoma Lee (Young) Pratt. He was an accountant and employed as a comptroller for the Creek Nation. James married the former Paige Reasor on September 3, 1971. James enjoyed his life to the fullest. He was a Baptist minister and served as music director for several churches. His hobbies were varied; he liked fishing, farming, and technology, and he expressed an artistic nature through photography and painting. James enjoyed the children and grandchildren so very much. They will all cherish his memory through the years to follow. James departed this life on November 2, 2015 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Emma Lee Mashburn, and a brother, Kenneth Pratt. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Paige Pratt of Porter; two sons, Michael Pratt of Germany and Jeffrey Pratt of Denver, Colorado; one daughter, Jennifer Leigh Taylor of Porter; grandchildren, Danien Pratt, Payton Taylor and Drew Taylor; a brother, Roger Pratt and his wife, Peggy, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; two sisters, Barbara Jones of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Chiquita Goins and her husband, Larry, of Cameron, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews and other family, and many friends. Viewing will be at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner from 9:00 A.M until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2015. From 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. the family will be present for a Visitation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Porter First Baptist Church. Reverend Adrian Totty and Pastor Dennis Piearcy will officiate. Funeral and cremation arrangements are by Mallett Funeral Home.
