Janice Kay (Brackett) Luster, 61, of Wagoner, OK, departed this life early Thursday, September 23, 2010 in Muskogee, OK. A Visitation will be held at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner from 3-5 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Mallett Chapel. Janice was born December 31, 1948 in Cherokee County, OK to Jess Allen and Mary (Drywater) Brackett. She grew up in Muskogee. For 23 years Janice was employed as a cafeteria cook for Porter High School. She loved tending to her grandchildren and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She liked old movies, George Strait country music, and attending garage sales. Janice was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jim Brackett, and a sister, Anna Faye Buie. Survivors include her husband, Elmer Luster, of the home; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna Sue and Steve Kinnamon of Muskogee; son, Randy Stevens, of Wagoner and son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jerri Stevens, of Wagoner; her siblings, Jess Brackett of Wagoner, Gerald Brackett and wife, Lois, of Porter, Irene Woomer of Wagoner, Wallace Brackett and wife, Kathy, of Waurika, OK, Ricky Brackett and wife, Belinda, of Porter, and Debbie Cole of Muskogee; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Selina, and her daughter; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner.
