Obituary

Jeremiah Jacob Claude Johnson was born February 13, 1988 in Wagoner, OK. He attended high school in Branson, Missouri.   His hobbies were hunting and fishing, and he especially enjoyed time with family and having a fish fry or barbecue. Jeremiah was a Deputy for the Wagoner County Sheriff's office.

Jeremiah departed this life early Friday, April 1, 2016, after a valiant battle with cancer, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Frances Smith; a cousin, Robert Hopper, uncles, Bobby Smith and Jimmy Smith; a cousin, Christina Freeman, and a step-grandmother, Christine Webb.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, John and Karla Johnson of Wagoner, OK; his mother, Natalie Knott of Missouri; two stepbrothers, Lewis Freeman III of New Jersey and Steven and wife, Phallon Freeman of Wagoner, OK; sister, Mellissa and husband, Johnny Couch of Branson, MO; two step-sisters, Lisa and husband, Brian Long of Orange, MO and Stephanie Freeman of Wagoner, OK; fifteen nieces and nephews; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and other family, including his girlfriend, Tiffany Goeman and children, Amelia, Matthew, Anthony, and Lance; and many friends.

A Visitation will be held at Mallett Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service celebrating Jeremiah's life will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel.  The Reverend Rick Boyne will officiate.

Interment will be in Swimmer Cemetery near Lost City, Oklahoma, in Cherokee County. The Law Enforcement Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Richardson and Cody Luker.
