Jerrell Wayne Woodward, 82, of Wagoner, Oklahoma, departed this life on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Eastgate Care Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Jerrell was born on July 20, 1943, in Muldrow, Oklahoma, to Wayne Willard Woodward and Ruth Katherine (Wilson) Woodward. He was raised in Muldrow, where he attended and proudly graduated from Muldrow High School. From an early age, Jerrell developed a strong work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life.

A true craftsman, Jerrell built a successful career as a talented flooring specialist. His dedication to his trade led him to complete specialized projects, he completed the Texas Woman's University’s flooring in the college, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and professionalism. He took great pride in his work and was known for his skill, reliability, and attention to detail. Jerrell honorably served his country during the Vietnam War as a proud member of the United States Army, a reflection of his deep sense of duty and patriotism.

Jerrell married Eunice Harwood, and together they shared many meaningful years. Known to all as one of the kindest men you could ever meet, Jerrell truly would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a generous heart, a humble spirit, and a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Though he was a tough man, he never complained, even when in pain, facing life’s challenges with remarkable resilience. Jerrell enjoyed spending time with friends, often gathering for drinks and good conversation. He was a familiar and friendly face at his favorite local spots, including The Fishing Hole and The Bonus, where he enjoyed the camaraderie and fellowship shared with those around him.

In his later years, Jerrell lived with his niece, Jeri Honeycutt, who lovingly cared for him for several years. He depended greatly on her support, and her devotion provided him with comfort, stability, and love.

Those who preceded him in death are his parents, Wayne and Ruth Woodward; his beloved wife, Eunice Woodward; and his baby brother, Richard Lee Woodward.

Those left to cherish the memories of his life include his sister, Phylis Stockton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his nieces, Jeri Honeycutt and husband Loyd of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and Cathy Ward and husband Dustin of Arcadia, Oklahoma; his nephew, Jim Woodward and wife Joann of Muldrow, Oklahoma; along with several great-nieces and great-nephews, all who will miss him greatly.

Jerrell’s life was defined by hard work, loyalty, kindness, and strength. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will forever live on in their hearts.

The family will greet friends at a Visitation on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 5-7 pm in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor the life of Jerrell Woodward on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home.

Interment will be held at Long Cemetery in Long, Oklahoma, on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 12:00 pm with United States Army Funeral Honors Team presenting Honors.
