Obituary

Jerry Don Henderson was born July 2, 1956 to Bobbie Lee and Ora Faye Henderson in Coleman, Texas. He departed this life January 30, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Jerry attended North Mesquite High School where he participated in the school's Stallion Battalion and Rodeo teams. He served in the United States Army with the 3rd Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne. He attended welding school at Mountain View College in Dallas, Texas.

Jerry's interests in life were centered on family. He was a past member of the Wagoner Archery Club and enjoyed fishing and attending sporting events.

Jerry is survived by a loving family, his Brentwood Care family and a multitude of friends and relatives across the country, all who experienced Jerry's loving, giving spirit.

The family would like to express their appreciation to those at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Facility for their care, concern and compassion to Jerry.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner.

The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Mallett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Reverend Matt Henderson, Josh Henderson, and Chad Burns. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner, with family serving as pallbearers.

Memorials can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
