IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmie Helen
Hash
April 20, 1932 – April 10, 2025
Jimmie Helen Hash, 92, of Wagoner, OK passed from our world and rejoined her children on April 10, 2025.
Born on April 20, 1932, in Okemah, OK, to James Ames Morgan and Emma Mae Baker, Jimmie grew up in a time of great difficulty in our Country. She spent her early years moving from town to town with her father as he pursued work in the oil fields. During the week, James worked, and Jimmie lived with relatives or stayed in boarding houses, but the weekends were for her and her daddy (we are pretty sure this is where she developed her lifelong love for cheeseburgers and ice cream). It was during the weeks of waiting for the weekends that she also developed another lifelong love: reading.
In the late 40's, James and Jimmie returned to Oklahoma, settling in the Oak Grove community near Broken Arrow, OK. Jimmie's time in this community was happy, and it was here that she established lifelong friendships and she met the man that would help her achieve her greatest goal in life, being a mother. Paul Hash and Jimmie's marriage created her greatest treasures in life, her children (Kathy, Sharon, Judy, and Steve). Their union lasted over 20 years and was spent living in California and Oklahoma.
In the 1970's, Jimmie and Steve moved to Porter, OK where she created many more friendships and met a quiet and kind man, Pete Jones. Pete and Jimmie married and spent many happy years together until his passing in 2002. Following Pete's passing Jimmie moved to Wagoner, OK.
Jimmie married lifelong friend Leon Hawkins in 2006. They spent 6 happy years together running the roads, antiquing, bargain shopping, and eating whatever they wanted, when they wanted, until his passing in 2012.
The great tragedy of Jimmie's life was the loss of her children Kathy (2005), Sharon (2001), Judy (2004), and Steve (2017). In our grief there is joy in knowing that they are once again reunited and that her pain and heartache are at an end. She is survived, and fondly remembered, by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. To know her, was to know true love and absolute loyalty. She will be forever missed and remembered.
A Memorial Service honoring the life of Jimmie Hash will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Mallett Funeral Home, Life Celebrant Mary Jane Whisnant officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
