Jimmy Wayne Hodnett was born October 4, 1938 in Holly Ridge, Louisiana to Leamon Matthew and Willadean (Watson) Hodnett.  He grew up in Louisiana and joined the Army National Guard of Louisiana in 1956. While serving he qualified as a sharpshooter and marksman with pistol and as a First Class Gunner. He was honorably discharged in 1959.

In 1963 Jimmy graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic with a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine. He was a member of the Oklahoma Chiropractic Association.

"Doc Hodnett" as he was affectionately known, was a Mason for over fifty years. He was a member of the Wagoner Masonic Lodge # 98.

In his spare time, Doc enjoyed working on cars and repurposing things.

His family will always remember him as the greatest PaPa ever. Everyone knew him as true southern gentleman.

Jimmy departed this life May 26, 2019 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 80 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Lee Ann (Swanner) Hodnett, whom he married January 26, 1957; his children, Alinda Lee Hodnett, Mark Alan Hodnett and his wife, Teresa, Paul Lynn Hodnett and Jerry Matthew Hodnett and his wife, Misty; eleven grandchildren, Jenn Hodnett Camp and husband, Brent, Jason Davenport and wife, Michelle, Aerial Million and husband, Josh, Sarah Hodnett, Mindy Tucker and husband Jordan, Harrison Hodnett, Josh Hodnett, Matthew Hodnett and fiancé Christina, Alana Wilson and husband, Cody, Nicholas Hodnett and wife, Staci and Curtis Hodnett and wife, Amanda; eighteen great-grandchildren and one due in September.

A private memorial service will be held with Masonic Rites performed by Wagoner Lodge #98.
