Mr. Jimmy Dean Moreland, 74, departed this life early Thursday, October 25, 2018. To celebrate a life will lived, the family and friends will gather from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Porter First Baptist Church Event Center. Everyone who wishes to attend is invited.

Jimmy was born June 23, 1944 in Coweta, OK to Homer and Bonnie (Clarkson) Moreland. He graduated from Porter High School in 1962. Jimmy married the love of his life, the former Katherine Sue Hughes, on March 2, 1963. They were married for nearly 52 years before her death in 2014.

All his life Jimmy worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was employed at Yocham Trucking for more than twenty years and worked for Wagoner County Commissioner, District 3, and as a superintendent at Bill's Coal Co. in Porter, OK.

Jimmy and his wife, Sue moved to Braggs, OK about 18 years ago.

Jimmy is survived by three children and their spouses, Kimberly Sue and Mark McCollough of Muskogee, OK, Terry Lynn and Steven McKinney of Porter, OK and Jimmy Wayne and Anita Moreland of Braggs, OK; his grandchildren, Kacey Wayne Moreland and wife, Carlie of Porter, OK, Madison McKinney of Porter, OK, Amber Daniels and husband, Chris of Muskogee, OK, Alisha McCullough of Muskogee, OK, Taylor Moreland of Braggs, OK and Jeremy Hemingway; great-grandchildren, Morgan, C.J. and Wyatt Daniels and Marlie Sue Moreland, due next March; his siblings, Sharon Payne and Sam Hendrix, Mickey and Kathy Moreland, Joy and Terry Hendrix and Ruthie and Benjamin Wray; other extended family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Sue Moreland, parents, Homer and Bonnie Moreland, sister, Geneva Moreland and brother, Bill Moreland.

Cremation is being provided by Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory.
