Obituary

Mr. Jimmy Franklin Webb, 65, of Wagoner, OK passed peacefully at home in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born on February 5, 1958, in Hickory, NC, the first child of Mary Coralee (Dumond) Webb and James "Jim" Webb, and raised primarily in his father's hometown Erwin, TN as a young child, with some cross-country moves, then in 1970 coming with his family to his mother's home state Oklahoma. Jimmy graduated from Wagoner High School Class of 1976 and studied at Bacone College in Muskogee, OK. He lived in his Wagoner home for over 50 years.

Jimmy is remembered as being a puzzle solver, mechanically inclined, and especially a talented woodworker, having learned the traditional Appalachian ways from his family and later teaching himself toy making. Over the years Jimmy enjoyed family road trips, Sooners and Vols games, Mel Brooks movies, nature photography, hummingbird watching, fishing, and avidly collecting fishing lures. Jimmy is also remembered for being great with kids and always caring for his family. He was a quiet man of faith, believing in John 3:16 and Romans 10:9,10 in the Holy Bible.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother Coralee (Dumond) Webb of Wagoner, grandparents Ernest and Ethel (Duncan) Webb of Erwin, TN, grandparents Harry and Ollie (Benge) Dumond of Tahlequah, OK, sister-in-law Vickie (Newman) Webb, old friends Otto Deacon and Brownie, and much loved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jimmy is survived by his father Jim Webb of Wagoner, brother and sister-in-law Herb and Vickey Webb of Polson, MT, brother John Webb of Wagoner, niece and in-law Jennifer and Joshua Gapetz of Lawrence, KS, nephew and in-law Matthew Webb and Shannon Solomon, great-niece Shyanne Webb, great-nephew Anthony Webb all of Wagoner, cousin Van Peebles, family friend Natalie Porras, long-time neighbors Jerry and Brenda Mabray, and many more aunts, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Jimmy's father Jim is receiving cards and visitors. The family will host a memorial at a later date. The family thanks Allied Health and Hospice for their care.
