JoAnn Bell Blandon, eldest of 4, was born December 18, 1945 in Wagoner, OK to loving parents, Hubert Bell and Lcannie Barnes Bell. Granddaughter of Baptist Minister Q.L. "Babe" Barnes, JoAnn was raised with Christian morals and values. She began her educational advances in Lincoln Schools before marrying and becoming a mother to 3 children of her own (Glen, Stephanie, and Yevette).

Settling in Tulsa, OK in the early 70s, JoAnn had various occupations including: Homemaker, Police Dispatch Operator, Teacher's Aide, and Nursing Assistant.

Growing closer to the Lord, JoAnn continued to practice her faith as a church mother with the New Degree Praise Center Church family under the leadership of her brother, Bishop Q.L. Bell, in March of 2000. JoAnn was a kind-hearted, humble soul that will forever be loved.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Glentivous Young Jr. (Kimberly) of Indiana, Stephanie Young Lane (David) of Tulsa, and Yevette Tariah (Solomon) of Tulsa; grandchildren, Glentivous III, Erefaa, Derego, Sheena, Tyrell, Tanara, and Breauna; great-grandchildren, Erin, Dawari, Krysten, Ja'Kylei, Glentivous IV, and Kyra; siblings, Hildegard Mayo, Michael Bell, and Q.L. Bell; aunt, Lola Robertson; a host of honorary grandkids, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

JoAnn departed this life Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at her home in Tulsa, OK at the age of 75 years.

A funeral to celebrate her life will be held at 11 am Friday, April 23, 2021 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home in Wagoner, OK.

Viewing will be Thursday, April 22 from 10 am - 7 pm.
