Obituary

John Clark "Jay" Pyles was born on December 22, 1957 in Charleston, West Virginia to Johnnie Oran Pyles and Carolyn Sue (Kidd) Pyles Brower. Jay was known as a "jokester" that had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was also very kind; he took the time to make everyone he came into contact with feel special. Jay was a structural machinist at Spirit Aerospace. In his spare time he enjoyed playing the guitar and watching NASCAR and basketball, which he had played in high school.

Jay passed this life on Saturday, September 18, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Timothy Pyles; and his father-in-law, Floyd Dirks.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rhonda Jean Pyles of the home; sons, Matthew Walkingstick of Claremore and Chris Speers of Arkansas; siblings, Diane Choate of Broken Arrow, Barry Pyles of Broken Arrow, and Angelia Hoffman and her husband, Doy of Catoosa; nieces and nephews, John Brady Choate and his wife, Sarah and their son, Hudson, and Katherine Lindsey Choate all of Colorado, Mary Jo Gabbert and her husband, Dustin and their family of Stillwater, Stephen Pyles of Tulsa and Matthew Hoffman of Catoosa.  Jay also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Vivian Dirks of Scott City, Kansas; brother-in-law, Rick Dirks and his wife, Lanora of Scott City and their families; uncles, David Pyles and his wife, Linda of Alabama and Steve Kidd and his wife, Sylvia of Florida; other relatives and a host of friends.
