John Halcrow Jr., USN-Retired, passed from this life Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Claremore, OK. He was fortunate to live at home in Chouteau, OK until recently.

John was born July 2, 1923 in Flushing, Long Island, New York to Annie (Broome) and John Halcrow Sr. John served in the United States Navy for thirty years before retiring in 1970 as Senior Chief Petty Officer. Following that he worked for General Telephone as a senior data specialist, retiring again in 1986.

John was of the Episcopal faith. He was blessed with his surviving family of three children, Jacquelyne Moynier of Chouteau, Oklahoma, John Halcrow III of Tustin, California and Jerald Halcrow and his wife, Kathy of Orem, Utah; seven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn Lucille (Lafferty) Halcrow of Claremore; a brother, William C. Halcrow and a sister, Margaret (Halcrow) O'Sullivan.

The family entrusted Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory for cremation arrangements.
